Electricity is one of the most commonly encountered hazards in any facility. Therefore, OSHA Regulations 1910.331 through 1910.335 specifies safety-related work practices, training, equipment and personal protection that shall be employed to prevent electric shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contacts, when work is performed near or on equipment or circuits which are or may be energized.
The Environmental Health and Safety Office can help with the interpretation and compliance of these regulations.
